Safety testing verifies that a product will not endanger people, property or livestock in normal use or under a single fault condition. NTEK's safety laboratory evaluates electrical, mechanical, thermal, fire and radiation hazards of information technology equipment, audio-visual equipment, household appliances, lighting products and power supplies.
The main test items are input power and current, temperature rise, dielectric strength, insulation resistance, earth continuity, leakage current, abnormal operation, mechanical strength, creepage and clearance distances, and resistance to fire and tracking. Products are assessed against standards such as IEC/EN 62368-1, IEC/EN 60335-1, IEC/EN 60598-1, IEC/EN 60950-1 and IEC/EN 60065, and against the equivalent GB standards for the Chinese market.
The laboratory issues test reports that support CE marking under the Low Voltage Directive, CB scheme certification, and China CCC or CQC certification.
